CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST ACADEMY OF
NORTH CAROLINA THIRD ECCLESISTICAL JURISDICTION

Established by Bishop Patrick L. Wooden Sr., in March 2018, the Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) Academy of North Carolina Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction equips students for Christian leadership through the provision of biblical, theological, and practical education. We are an alliance of the Charles Harrison Mason Jurisdictional Institutes of the Churches Of God In Christ, Inc. Our goal is to give students a foundational education in the Bible, to develop their doctrinal convictions, and to engage their spiritual gifts in order that they may boldly pursue their unique callings in the local church as well as in the world at large. To that end, we offer a two-year Certificate Program inclusive of such courses as Old and New Testaments, church history, church doctrine, church administration, ceremony and ordinance performance, and more which students must complete before pursuing licensure and ordination.

COGIC Academy is intentional in teaching students how to proclaim God’s truth. To that end, we offer courses in systematic theology, hermeneutics, homiletics, and evangelism. These are just a few of the subjects that students will be introduced to at COGIC Academy. Jesus commands all believers to go into all the world and make disciples. Matthew 28:19. Our courses are designed to assist students in fulfilling this Great Commission.

COGIC Academy also offers a one-year Spiritual Gifts Program, a hands-on program that teaches students to learn by actually applying their spiritual abilities in the local church and the community. Some of the courses in the One-Year program are empowering the local church through service-oriented gifts, the gift of intercessory prayer, praise and worship, evangelism, and apologetics.

COGIC Academy is open to students of all reformations and faiths because everyone should experience the spiritual growth and intimacy that results from diligent study of the Word of God.
