ELECTIVES

» Apologetics: This course is designed to equip students with biblical, historical, scientific, and philosophical knowledge, as well as techniques and methodologies, that will enable them to effectively defend the Bible as the only infallible written Word of God. Students will learn how to construct cogent arguments in defense of Christianity; expose inadequacies in other worldviews; defend the credibility of the Bible’s claims about the life, ministry, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; and learn sufficient scientific knowledge to refute contrary scientific objections commonly leveled against the Christian faith.

» Christian Education: This course will provide the fundamentals of education and Christianity to those who are called to serve in educational ministry. This course explores education using holiness as its baseline. This course explores methods of teaching that permit education and Christianity (holiness) to cohabitate in the classroom. This course further explores educational psychology, learning theories, methods of teaching, and the biblical worldview.

» Evangelism in Action: In this course, students will conduct revivals, street canvassing, tent meetings, and utilize other active measures to challenge people directly with the gospel and invite them to make a decision for Christ.

» Hermeneutics: This course will teach students how to properly interpret, understand, and apply the Bible literally, historically, grammatically, and contextually, with an understanding of the culture, background, and circumstances that prompted the text.

» Pastoral Counseling: This course is designed for those who desire to serve as a pastoral or professional counselor in a church-related counseling ministry. The program offers a theological foundation coupled with Christian-based counseling theory and practice. It is designed to aid the student in developing an intentional, informed, and integrated biblically based, systemic pastoral counseling ministry.

» World Religions: This course aims to introduce students to the history, beliefs, and practices of the five (5) major religious traditions of the world: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism.
